Uniqueness
My overriding objective is to provide my clients with a high quality extension to their
management team, in terms of capability, capacity or both.
Whereas the subject matter of my contributions therefore is very similar to the typical
portfolio of management consultants and professional services providers, there is an
important difference in scope:
Their focus tends to be on fact finding, analysis, reporting and recommendation, leaving
final interpretation, decisions and implementation with their clients. Mine is on
effectively taking and accepting the level of executive and operational responsibility the
client would typically attribute to himself and/or his "own" leadership resources. I am
prepared, even expect to be fully accountable to him for the results of my work and
therefore to be measured on quality of execution and results. On the other hand It goes
without saying I refrain from any level of direct visibility or executive involvement the
client does not explicitly want to delegate.
Contrary to an employment relationship, deploying me does not burden the client with a
long term financial or social liability. I am available whenever, but only as long as he
chooses.
